We all learn colours, numbers and the alphabet at primary school. People often call this at school the three R’s – reading, writing and arithmetic! These help us to do many things like explain what we see, what we want to do, to communicate with our family and friends – to enjoy ourselves!
Numbers are fun! Eenie would like to tell you a few things about numbers here so that you can learn with your family and friends.
Once we know – and can remember – the numbers one to ten we can then begin to move up to 100 and beyond that – and we can learn to count. It is good fun to learn and practise numbers.The numbers from 1 to 100 in English are:

We also like to remember letters so that then we can make words. The English Alphabet consists of 26 letters:. The letters are:
A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z.
Once we learn the alphabet we also talk about vowels and consonants. Vowels are A, E, I, O, U – all the other letters are consonants. We can make lovely words when we join together the vowels and consonants – then we can recognize these, make sentences and express ourselves. We can also make songs and poems, Eenie’s rhymes and the Eenie World helps us to have such fun with words – we can enjoy and sing along – and we will learn more as we play in the world of Eenie and his friends.
